LAWN AND GARDEN WASTE POLICY

SHOREWOOD FOREST PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.

 

WHEREAS, the undersigned are all of the duly elected, qualified, and acting members of the Board of Directors of the Shorewood Forest Property Owners Association, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, one of the duties of said Board of Directors is to represent the best interests of the property owners and residents of the Shorewood Forest Community, a planned unit development situated in Porter County, within the State of Indiana; and

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Board of Directors of Shorewood Forest Property Owners Association, Inc., to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the community thereby enhancing property values; and

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Directors of Shorewood Forest Property Owners Association, Inc., through numerous resident complaints, that certain members of the community are depositing lawn clippings, leaves, weeds and similar lawn and garden waste in unauthorized locations within the community; and

WHEREAS, Board of Directors of Shorewood Forest Property Owners Association, Inc., desires to adopt a policy prohibiting the inappropriate disposal of lawn clippings, leaves, weeds and similar lawn and garden waste;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Shorewood Forest Property Owners Association, Inc. that:

1.         That all residents shall dispose of their lawn and garden waste in an appropriate manner on their own property or arrange to have the same removed from the development.

2.         That no lawn or garden waste shall be deposited upon or disposed of by any resident on Shorewood Forest’s property or streets or driveways within the Shorewood Forest Community.

3.         That all residents who employ a lawn service, employees, or other individuals to maintain their property shall be responsible for the proper removal of lawn and garden trash.

4.         That all said companies and individuals shall comply with the terms of this Policy.

5.         That violations of this policy shall result in a fine of $ 100.00 per occurrence.
